My Colleague Rosie

Long-time readers might remember that I once said I would start infrequently posting links to other blogs that I find interesting, worthwhile, or neither. This installment is someone named Rosie O’Donnell, who has begun blogging. I have a few suggestions for her:
Poetry is better suited for an eljay than a real, live blog. If your entries are going to be in the form of poetry more often than prose, you should consider switching over.
If you’re going to write poetry (in an effort to make your blog honest, personal, raw, etc.), your sidebar items might be out of place. For instance, most bloggers do not have sidebar links to their own brands of gay-themed cruises. It’s cool that you’ve got them, but they might not be what you want on your blog.
Your “poetry” is sort of bad. I mean, poetry is a good format for some of the posts you make, but for some of the others it seems like you are just pushing the enter key when you think you have reached the end of a line in the text box you use to post. Instead of pushing return when you think you’re going to reach the end of a line (like on a typewriter), try to just keep on typing. It might just wrap around for you! And that way the next time you post about the Timothy Treadwell documentary Grizzly Man, you won’t have to worry about rhythm and meter.
Seriously, though, Ro, cool web site. Check it out at http://www.rosie.com.
