Blog Digestion

Bored of reading about the Paris riots, Pat Tillman, China, or David Brooks? Then check out a few of the blogs that I read. (Incidentally, I’m thinking of setting up a list of links to sites I frequently read and sites that link to me; so, if you want to make the list, link to me from your blog or comment here with your URL or whatever, and I might give you what you ask.)
First up is You Ain’t No Picasso. It’s some guy who goes to school in Lexington, KY, (long-time readers will remember that I spend my summers working at UK in Lexington, so there’s some connection there). He puts up a few MP3s almost daily, and they’re usually from bands I haven’t heard much of. I usually don’t like the songs, but they’re still worth hearing. And, in case you were wondering, this post reveals the reason for the blog’s title! It’s a Bishop Allen song!
Next comes Teaching The Indie Kids To Dance Again. If it has a long title, it must be good! Well, it turns out, it is a decent blog, which posts a danceable indie MP3 every day or so.
And this place called “Bolt” is better than it looks like it’ll be once you start reading it. I recommend it for its wit — even if the MP3s it posts are a little “indie mainstream.”
And reciprocity demands this, unfortunately.
