Anti-Ninjaism And Things Unrelated To Ninja

Above, you’ll find the press photo that everyone uses for the Go! Team. That alone is annoying, but it’s the only press photo I could find really. But anyway, earlier, I promised to describe the Go! Team’s show last week. Here goes:
It sucked because of Ninja. Seriously, it’s all her fault. She was artificially enthusiastic and a bit sloppy. And for some of their songs, most of the important stuff isn’t live. And whoever was running the samples and stuff wasn’t on stage, which was a little sketchy. But mostly, it was Ninja’s fault.
Luckily, the world still turns. Stereogum has a great Black Eyed Peas + Arcade Fire mashup: “Hump My Tunnel”, and I have once again aired my airy critical opinions (this time on Black Mountain, Dead Meadow, and cannabis) — not to mention my opinions on Will Smith. Also, the Decemberists signed to Capitol Records, and I have written two columns for a pop-culture web site aimed at the important high school debater demographic.
These are the days of our lives. You know, in the desert of the real.
