Ireland, Pretty Much

So that, there, is Ireland. Pretty much. I spent a lot of the days of Christmas there. They were fun. Not that much was open, because Ireland is Catholic and potentially a “developing” country.

Before that, I had some spectacular exams. In particular, I took two oral exams in the two morning lecture courses I was registered for. The professors were fairly prestigious, and I was, well, not quite as prestigious. I suppose I should’ve known when I was told I had to dress up for the exams, and when I learned that the philosophy department here is called the “Higher Institute of Philosophy” (founded by a Pope and former home to Erasmus), that things weren’t going to go my way. But oh well.

I also saw Colleen, because I don’t usually do the right things on the nights before exams. I got a little sleepy, but I’m happy I saw her. And in case you were wondering, she is French!

This post is mostly for maintenance purposes — “housekeeping,” if you will. You should await a great “end-of-2005″ feature that I’ve just invented: I’m going to list the albums that I liked in order. That’s just the kind of creativity you’ve come to expect from Chase Martyn On Display in 2005. Please, don’t raise your expectations.
