A Baltimore Break

Well, I don’t live in Baltimore, but I’ve been following their race for City Council President for a variety of reasons. A new poll came out showing a very tight race, although Michael Sarbanes (of THE Sarbanes family) is leading. I don’t usually endorse in Democratic primaries, but I don’t usually talk about Democratic primaries that automatically determine the winner of a general election. In this case, I’m confident that despite the tone of the Sun article talking about the poll, long-time community activist Sarbanes is the candidate to beat. And I’m happy about that.

  1. Michael Sarbanes seems like a really neat guy. It’s a shame that there aren’t more progressives like him in Iowa.
